We goin' Sizzler--we goin' Sizzler

So here's something new...kinda...sorta...not really. Sizzler. Yet, new for me since I haven't been there since my childhood. My friends and I have now gone there twice, as part of our "weekly-let's-go-out-to-dinner-like-on-Sex & the City" dinner. Right guys (wink, wink). But, in this situation it's not New York, it's Salt Lake City. And instead of a chic local restaurant, it's Sizzler. Here is the conversation from when my friend and I were first trying to finalize the plans:

Me: Trying to think of a good place to meet--somewhere in between? Any ideas? Alls I got is Oasis or Dee's Family Restaurant...

A: I'm a thinking Sizzler salad bar. For reals...

Me: Umm, that didn't help at all. Unless when you said "for reals" you really meant for real--

A: I have no idea why no one takes that suggestion seriously. Apparently, you don't like fresh food and fun.

And so it goes. I'll have to admit--something about salad bars just creeps me out. Could it be the idea of lettuce and dressing sitting out on ice all day long, with many hands clamping onto the those darn tongs? Yes.

However, Sizzler had these things to offer: a patio all to ourselves right next to Sugarhouse Park, a super fresh salad bar, whole avocados & plums to snatch up and take home, plus a dessert bar (and dessert bars never get old).
