Actually, this really was a generous graduation gift from my parents--but it quickly turned into a babymoon as I realized if we didn't pick a destination and quick! we wouldn't be going anywhere at all.
We headed down to Playa del Carmen, Mexico for a week of sun. Ahh, it was so incredibly relaxing. We've had a busy go of it lately--what with me studying for that darned test and working and being a sleepy-boring pregnant lady--and then with Dave working, taking a full load of classes, and all his many side-projects. So it was really nice to reconnect and hang out--just us, no stress. This trip was one of the few times I have traveled somewhere without any real agenda. We slept in. We lounged. We drank cafe con leche, and mojitos (Dave), and pina coladas sin alcohol (Me). We read. We strolled We swam. And we actually managed to take some pictures.
"dat sesa? that sesa?" (from Slade) and Ava says, "mom her belly is getting big". fantastic b&w pic with hat on! my fav. and the next series you might assume you were from the fifties!!! Dave did good work. ahhhh, i wish i had that sun, beach and warmth coming my way.
ReplyDeletedespite your "delicate condition", or maybe because of it, you look even more beautiful than you ever have. mama's glowing.

ReplyDeleteYo man & yo looked superb. relaxed, in fun, in love in Mexico. Great pics. ZZ is glad you are back safe. In the 50s we could not travel long distance and even were advised to minimize car travel. Yo r so free! Go see An Education--good movie. come S. zz
ReplyDeleteYou guys could be models. Looks like you had a relaxing time. (Your mom wasn't so relaxed with you in MExico)
ReplyDeleteNever again will you have a trip with such freedom. From now on you and Dave will either have little one in tow or leave him with Gigi and be wondering how he is the whole time. I am getting excited to see what the little guy looks like!
