The best we could do this time 'round |
But here it is. 2011, and I no longer have pregnancy-fat-face. I now have an 11 month old boy. Juju has been the cutest lately.
He liked this much better. |
*he's constantly waving and say "hi"
*he laugh great big belly laughs
*he loves to clap
*a drawer full of tupperware or a drawer full of brushes/headbands/hairspray keeps him busy for quite a while.
*he crawls to get everywhere, but loves to pull himself up.
*he loves to beeline it to Juno's water bowl. he loves being chased.
*when I go to get him out of his crib, he makes sure to pick up his tiggy and take it with him.
*he takes a nap at 10 and a nap at 2:30 for about 1-2 hours each.
*he usually just grabs his tiggy, and puts himself right to sleep.
*lately, the song I sing to him is "All My Loving" by The Beatles.
*he loves to go up and pet Juno.
*he loves to yank her ears. I'm trying to teach him, "soft, soft."
*I'm also trying to teach him to hold up one finger when I ask him how old he is. He's done it for Rach twice.
*he still won't really try regular fruit. whole green beans--no problem. broccoli--no problem. baby food anything--no problem. banana--no way! pear--no way! raspberries--not a chance. For a little, I got him to eat strawberries. I felt sooo triumphant. He'd eat them whole--not cute up. But, that didn't last. We'll keep at. Getting tired of buying baby food.
So, I guess it looks like it's time to start planning the birthday party. Wanting to do a theme, but finding that my motivation isn't what it should be. But for sure there will be cake and that's all that really matters, right??
isn't it crazy how they seriously change every day! I love it..they just get funnier and funnier!
ReplyDeleteBaby food, schmaby food. We only bought it when we were in Utah. Oh, and I do kind of love the squeezable packs of applesauce. Hate the package waste, but it's fantastic when we're on the go and a snack is called for. Otherwise, I smashed up everything and gave it the babe; used a baby food mill for that. Then I put what I'd smashed up into ice cubes, froze it, put the cubes into labelled zip-top bags, ba-da-bing. Have you tried yogurt? I know you were thinking about making your own. Whole-milk baby yogurt (YoBaby) is expensive; making it yourself, not. Highly recommend.
ReplyDeleteUnderstand the nostalgia. I did not want this little girl to turn 1. She did anyway, and we've been okay.
