Square Peg : Round Hole

I love this picture so much it makes my eyeballs hurt.
The squishy elbow, the bent knee position, the morning hair, and the airplane pajamas.
Can life get any better than this?

This toy is by far Jude's favorite at the moment.  He sits and intently works each piece into it's spot.  Most times, it's a lot of shoving the star into the octagon, to which he'll get really frustrated, and whine, and push the shapes out of his way.  But more and more he does get it--shape for shape.  And then he looks up all proud.

I think 13 months is such a great age.
It's where I've really noticed the change in Jude from my baby-waby to my little boy.
Even in his own little mind, he's driven and purposeful.
He's got things to do.
He's very busy, you know.

And it's incredibly fun to watch.

  1. to that first picture, I will say its 100% Crockett as a little boy. I love it as much as you. So sweet! Missing him. And hmmmm, my kids NEVER liked or cared to put the shape in the hole of this classic toy. Deep thinker Jude.
