Alrighty, I decided to play a fun little game with myself that might actually turn out to be pure torture, but...

As of today, my closet is cleaned out and ready for some new items. 

Only they won't be new.

They'll be old and used.

Let's stick with the word thrifted because it rhymes with the word gifted, and that's how I'll be looking at it.  

I've been thinking long and hard about just what my closet is lacking,

and tried to narrow it down to things I most often would wear--for me that means super casual stuff.

cozy pullover sweaters

chunky, long sweaters/cardigans

mustard yellow cardigan

patterned/striped sweater and/or crew neck sweater 

tan basic belt

a matches-almost-everything scarf

red corduroys

black leggings

cozy slippers

casual lace-up boots

Because I had so much fun on my last thrifting journey, I'm going again.  Except with a more specific list in hand, things might get frustrating real quick.  We'll see.

Of course, the slips and the shoes will be new.  And same for the leggings.  And possibly the red corduroys (I have my heart set on these).  

Last year, I bought a pair of $5 Old Navy leggings that got all weird and crotchety on me.  So, I've been on the hunt for a long pair of black leggings that are thick enough to not show through and will also hold their shape.  These get great reviews and come in tall--so I'm getting spendy, but my crotch will thank me.

These I just ordered and can't wait!  I think they look just as cozy as Uggs, but better looking (right guys?).  I'm going to feel so cool as I take out the trash in the mornings, I just know it. 

I debate about these each time I go to Target, but still can't decide.

Seem comfy enough, but will they last??

Price is right. 

Hmm.

OK, so anyone want to play along with me?  Anyone?  Anyone?

Or at least come with me, keep me company?

I promise to bring hand sanitizer.
