You know what's funny? I for some reason thought that when I wore this coat you couldn't really tell I was pregnant. But now that I see these pictures, it's apparent that I've been dead wrong. I've got a full on basketball stuffed up underneath there!
At 36 weeks, I'm still feeling pretty good. Better than I thought I would be given how I felt at the beginning of this third trimester. I've figured out ways to sleep comfortably & the bonus is that Dave now sleeps in the bed and not on the couch! See me jumping for joy??
This past week, my doctor confirmed that Little Mister is indeed head down. In fact, he was very surprised at just how low he was--asking me if it's uncomfortable to walk. Which it isn't. I'm puzzled by this as well because my heartburn has been noticeably more intense, and if he is so low--shouldn't it be better? And also, if he is so low, shouldn't I have to pee constantly? (this I do more of, but not like I thought...) It's all very peculiar, but I'll just chalk it up to being tall.
At 36 weeks, I'm 60% effaced and dilated to a big fat zero. That's OK by us, we're still hoping for that perfectly convenient June 3rd delivery date. Please send good vibes...
So yes, April showers are bringing May flowers. These last couple weekends have been fun for me, despite the cold wind and rain. I've been lucky enough to have had 2 showers, and I have 2 more coming up!
It's been fun to see friends I haven't seen in a while and to catch up. And now Dave and I have some pretty sweet things for our little babycakes.
Lastly, this pic sums up how I feel lately. Always hungry, always searching for ice cream, and thankful for a nice breeze. Here's to gaining 1+ pound a week...
