Every Christmas Eve, we go to the First Unitarian Church service.  It is one of my favorite things.  Although a simple building--the inside painted all white, with big windows along the sides, it's always decorated it with huge red poinsettias and the effect is calming and absolutely beautiful.  We've now been going for 6 years, and so we've got it down to get there early and get the best seats.  Each year we have fun picking out our favorite choir singers, and the service is always different besides the 3 songs we get to sing: Joy to the World, Angels We have Heard on High, and Silent Night.

 For Christmas Eve, I had (most) of the family down for dinner.  Dave planned the menu--his specialty lemon-mustard salmon, rosemary-garlic-parmesan potatoes, and a green salad.  And I decorated the table.  Rach said I must take pictures cuz it looked like something straight up out of a magazine.  So I'm gonna say this:  I guess you had to be there cuz these pics look lame.  If we weren't moving, I'd paint these green walls.  I really would. 

And then after din-din, we played games--something we always talk about doing, but usually there is still so much wrapping of presents that there's no time.  Anyway, I fun night.
