*Jude's favorite words are ball, bye, Juno, hi, Mama. Starting to really say Daddy and mean it.
*He's pretty good at mimicking sounds--like when I show him something purple, he'll say pah-ple. When we're out throwing the ball around with Juno, he'll yell, "Geh, geh, geh." when he hears me yelling "Give. Give. Juno, give!"
*One time, when I asked him where Grandpa was, he pointed out the window to him, and said, "Bampa." Yet to be repeated...
*Cruises around with the help of furniture pretty good, but still prefers to crawl.
*When we're in the check-out line, he'll stare at the clerk until they look at him, and then he'll flash his gap-toothed grin. Gets them everytime.
*The first time we heard him say Juno, we were out for a walk and he kept yelling, "no. no. no." and clapping. ( Now when he says it, he says her full name, pretty dead on).
*Jude likes to shake his head no and laugh.
*When he sees the laptop out, he heads straight for it while shaking his head and saying, "no, no, no."
*When other people around are laughing at something, he'll join right in like he totally gets the joke.
*He still hates getting his diaper changed. We're talkin' big alligator tears.
*He likes being chased.
*He loves giving you kisses--open mouth and shut. It's the cutest thing to see his face coming in at you all serious.
*He now has 10 teeth. Just got his 1st year molars, and yes, it was a pretty really cranky time for him.
*Seems to be in the heart of his separation anxiety phase. If he sees me, he wants me.
*If he's sick or in pain (see above) I end up rocking him to sleep &/or taking 1.5 hour naps with him in the rocking chair (not recommended. me = sore back, jude = sweaty sticky baby, me = drenched, bored, and stiff).
*When we put him down to sleep, no matter how tired he seems, he'll usually sit up and play/babble in bed for a good 15 minutes.
*Loves to walk around pushing his scooty, looking at you with a big open mouth grin.
*Is obsessed with putting things into other things....his blocks into their box, stacking cups, Tupperware from one drawer to the other, etc.
*Still loves to focus on the small details. Still very observant and a deep thinker when we're out for walks, out for errands, etc.
*Will sit and read a book with you (and let you get through the 1st 3 pages before taking matters into his own hands).
*Tries to put lotion on himself.
*I'll ask him questions, and he'll respond in baby babble--our own little conversation.
*He's in love with dropping food from his high chair and leaning over to watch Juno eat it.
*That being said, he's turned into a pretty good little eater. He loves rice, artichokes, broccoli, animal crackers, and of course, yogurt.
*He's now been going to daycare for about a month, and seems to be adjusting pretty well. Dave does the whole drop off thing, where he cries for a second, but stops as soon as Dave walks out the door. I get to pick him up (luckily), and he always seems to be in pretty good spirits--and excited to see me. :)
