Dear Peanut

Dear Peanut,

These are the very first pictures we have of you.  Our mindset this time around has been to wait until you're born to see if you are a boy or a girl...so I can honestly say I wasn't tempted at all during to ask just what you are...

Seeing you move and squirm around was so magical and surreal.  Your dad and I were cracking up and smiling from ear to ear as we watched you stretch out your legs and then saw your little face.  I got to see that as of right now, you're folded up like a taco in my belly, feet up right in your face, and hands in there too.  Bum up under my left rib.  Some pics your profile looks just like Jude's.  In others, you look like you might have my ski jump nose.  Gigi is determined you have big eyes.  We will see.

Even though I am content picturing you simply as my baby, and not my little girl or my little boy, I have found myself thinking about that more and more since the ultrasound.  Last night, I sat and analyzed you from ever angle!  The tech purposely avoided this area, so you're dad thinks I'm a crazy, but from what little I could decipher...you looked like a girl.  But ever since I knew I was pregnant, I've thought you are a boy!  Could my motherly instincts be so off?!  Perhaps.  Whenever I've dreamed about you, you are a girl.  And for the record--Dad says girl.  

Either way, I'm so, so, excited to see how are family picture develops.
