Leland,
If there is one thing I know for sure about you it is that you love to be held, cuddled, and snuggled. If you aren't eating, or in a deeeeeeep sleep, you better believe you're in someone's arms. Because of this, I've just recently relented and started wearing you around in the Moby or Ergo as I go about my day. You are not easy to trick. I can think you're sleeping and put you down, and it's not too long before I hear your breath get all fast and then not too long before you let out a big, angry cry! You make me feel like I have some magic power, because as soon as I pick you up, you stop--and a few times you instantly go right back to sleep.
We haven't had much tummy time, but you hold up your head pretty well while I'm burping you. And from the day you were born, just about everybody has made a comment about how strong you are--I knew you would be! When I lay you on your stomach, you can actually move your legs a bit and crunch forward. Early crawler? That is my prediction. (Although, if ya wanna wait it out, that's find by me).
You seem to hold a special place in your heart for music. It gets your attention everytime, and can even keep you entertained for about 5 minutes.
I just stare at you all the time and think about what a beautiful baby you are (if I don't say so myself!).
So far, from all my analyzing and staring I think you have: Dad's eyes, but blue. My nose. Forester eyebrows, hands, and feet. My temper? I also think you might have darker hair--who knows. You are changing everyday.
You love to stare out the windows and looks at the lights. Sometimes, my face will hold your attention too. You've smiled here and there, but for the most part, are focused on sleeping or falling asleep!
PS: Jude @ 1 month
happy 1 month-er Leland!!! love this wittle boy and hearing all about his personality that is forming. also love the comparisons to Jude....and on that not looking more like Juju than i thought!
ReplyDeleteFun to think of these same things myself--my favorite time of day is napping/w M on his side next to me, facing each other. (Side-lying nursing is the very best, eh?) And my baby has a similar temperament--would rather be held all day than anything else. Though strangely, I used the Moby and Ergo much more with S than with M...it was the *only* way she would sleep for months, unless it was night. Love these cuddly babies who just are in love with their mamas...I feel the same.
