These pictures are pretty much a Christmas miracle, if ya ask me. I picked Jude up from daycare (he's still been going one day a week) and Cherie told me, "good luck. he wouldn't nap today." Those kinda days are always a joy. I can barely get him to go inside the house without whining/crying, and then ya know, there are still things to do like take jackets off (whining!) get dinner going (crying!), etc. SO, I knew seeing Santa would probably go along the same lines. But, I figured, hey, he's 2--that's par for the course. When we got there, we had to carry him in asleep on Dave's shoulder. And here comes the miraculous part. Jude saw the candy canes and hot cocoa, but somehow was cool with being told he'd have to wait for a treat until after Santa. I really think my jaw dropped. Jude loves his treats, and he knows how to whiiiinne for them. And then the second miracle. We plopped them both on his lap and both were cool with it. I had to put both these pictures on the blog--just as proof that it wasn't a one photo fluke. Jude was totally starstruck and happy!!
Jude totally forgot to tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas, but don't worry. We've got a letter in the mail to the big man.
This year, Jude has been so good--pretty sure he made the 'nice' list. We've had a lot of big changes and he continues to roll with the punches.
This year, he wants:
Cars.
A puzzle.
A camera. (Thanks Cruz, for planting that one in his head!)
And an iPad. (This really and truly is his hearts desire.)
And just to document fun times for Rachel (even though she'll likely kill me for posting):
knew i could count on you for an amazing photo of myself! that whole Santa visit on so many levels sucked. there is always next year....or tonight ;)
