Weekend Snapshot

This was like 3 weekends ago, mind you.  Thanksgiving weekend.  Was so nice, mellow and cozy.  Nice to have Dave around for 4 whole days!  Mellow because we weren't traveling and rushing.  Cozy because we took lots of family naps.

Thanks to Annie for making me document his first movie with a picture! :)
On Thanksgiving Day, Jude and I went to his first real movie (thanks, Cowan's!).  He loved it, and overall did pretty well.  He had a few seat transfers, and mighta bumped into a few seats on the row ahead along the way, but hey--he's 2.  On the way home, he kept telling me about the movie on the big, big, DBD player.

Rach and I scored big Black Friday shopping on Thursday night.  We randomly decided to go to Target, and showed up an our early (thought it opened at 8, not 9).  Lucky for us though cuz we made out like bandits.

Typical Jude.  Check out that cautious, concerned face.

Totally blurry, but totally makes me nostalgic for his long hair.

And then the next day, we went up and took the dogs for a walk with the brother--Chris.  Weather was perfect--sunny, but crisp.  Jude played at the park, and threw rocks in the river and climbed tree stumps.  Leland slept snug on my chest.  Juno was soooo happy to be outside.  And so were we.

Came home, and Dave decided to make a whole turkey dinner so that we could have leftovers.  Our first time attempting gravy, and he just used what we had on hand, sorta following an online recipe.  Yum, was so gooood.  And we ate leftovers allll weekend and on into the next week.
