Granola Bites

Via Momtastic--except I put in a little less honey.  And I think if I were to do it again, I'd put in even less honey, but it's that fine line between sticky-enough and sweet-enough, ya know?  I love this idea, essentially a mini homemade granola bar.  So along with adding less honey,  I'm thinking just that: putting them in a pan and cutting them into squares.  Except then I'll call them "granola treats" as a tribute to the ultimate gooey sugary buttery snack (psst: I'm talkin' rice krispy treats if you're not followin').

Dried fruit not your thang?  Try: extra shredded coconut, mini chocolate chips and slivered almonds.

Whole Grain Banana Pancakes

Here's an idea for the next time you make pancakes.
Make extra.
Then freeze.
Guaranteed cheaper than the store bought toaster waffles.
And guaranteed healthier (if you go for the whole wheat pancake mix).
Makes breakfast time a breeze.

Plus, I've been doing this so that Jude has some healthier snack options around that are as easy and mindless as graham crackers.

I sometimes throw in a banana and some cinnamon to add flavor, which is exactly as easy as it sounds.  Yay!

Spread on a little peanut butter to add in some healthy fat and you're good to go.

I've been playing around with this idea a lil bit--and so far have also come up with:
Cinnamon Apple
&
Pumpkin Spice

Any other combos you're tried or think might be worth trying?
I'd really love to know. :)

LARABAR

Have you ever tried a Lara Bar?  I personally love them.  The ingredients are ultra-simple and 100% natural.  This cherry pie flavor contains dates, almonds, and unsweetened cherries.  That's it.  It's tart and delicious and as an added bonus each bar contains 1 serving of fruit.

I think they are a great way to satisfy a sweet-tooth.  Seriously, the apple pie flavor tastes exactly like apple pie.  But, I'm curious...have you tried one?  What did you think?

I offered this one to my sister and this is literally all. she. could. eat.
