Late Night Confessions

Late night confession numero uno:  it's not that late.  It's only 9 pm.

I weally, weally need to get out the sewing machine and hem these darn bedroom curtains.  If getting projects done feels so good, why do I procrastinate so?

I keep looking at that pic I posted, and I'm already annoying myself.  Sorry, y'all.

Tonight, out of boredom, I took Jude for a stroll to the store.  I wanted to buy candy, but when I got there, I found myself mostly thirsty.  I didn't buy any, and now I can't decide if I love or hate myself.

When I got home, Jude had fallen asleep in the stroller.  I scooped him up, and he still stayed asleep.  So I walked inside, sat down on the couch and had me some quality baby staring time.  It just never gets old.

It made me really miss taking naps with Jude.  And then I thought, will I ever really get a chance to do that again?  Or will I always be busy when the next one arrives?  First babies are so lucky, and I hope I soaked it all in while I had the chance.

I went to the girl doctor this week, and it was, ahem, informative.  Getting checked is never fun.  I mean, I've had a baby, and I still dread going.  I only wish guys had to do this yearly so they could at least sympathize.  Am I right? Anyway, I've found that the doc or PA usually makes some sorta small talk while doing their thing.  Fine by me.  Let's just pretend this isn't happening.  I wasn't so lucky this time.  This PA told me exactly what she was doing and how it all looked.  TMI?  I know.  I know.

I think if Dave didn't always work such late nights, I'd be wayyyyy better at making dinners.  Cooking for one (ok, and Jude) just isn't fun.

I've been daydreaming about our upcoming anniversary trip.  California wine country.  Ahhh.  But where I see biking through the hillside, sipping on wine, and eating some cheese, Dave sees countless wineries and wine tastings.  Shoot.  Am I actually gonna have to learn something on this trip??
