I haven't read a book in a long, long time.
And I finally went and picked one out I've been needing to read.
I was totally looking forward to my little set-up.
Which entails sticking my legs out of our bedroom door onto the patio.
They catch some vit. D.
And the rest of me is all cushy and cool inside.
But guess what?
Jude got more teeth.
I really think something like 4 more teeth.
Details still remain sketchy.
So, instead of his nap time looking like this,
It went something like this.
Open grassy field.
A patch of shade.
Some toys.
Some tears.
Some yogurt.
But mostly just an open grassy field.
I don't know how many more teeth Jude has left to get, but I discovered something this weekend.
It's 100% better to just distract him, than to try and rock and sooth him.
Give this kid some open space, and a light breeze--and things are all good.
{For the most part}
lub the first pic. oh man, Juju looks SO sad :( he seems to be a terrible teether, but that may be the price you have to pay for a normally so easygoing kid!
ReplyDeleteI have to say that we've been pretty blessed when it comes to teething. S is definitely not low-energy, but teeth have mostly come in without fuss or fanfare. She started getting them at four months, so the fanfare part died down pretty quickly. I think she's got all her baby teeth at this point, canines included (they are so cute and pointy!). Good luck! Hopefully Jude is happier today. Glad you found some coping strategies...I think that's toddlerhood for ya, too.
