Using a 'poon.

I knew it!

This is Jude.  He is VERY serious when he eats.  Basically he just stares me down while he picks, and chews.

 BUT

Among other things, Jude's now learned to use a spoon, or as he likes to call it, a 'poon.  What doesn't end up in his mouth is sure to end up on his legs, in his hair, on his clothes, or in Juno's mouth (this a great perk to having a dog around).  But should I be afraid to admit that Jude will now drop a piece of food on the floor, point to it, and say, "Nuno!"  I don't know where he learns these things, really.

Anyway, 16 months was a big month for the little guy.  He's just soaking everything up.  Sooo many words--new ones each day (jacket aket, hat ha, socks ocks, shoes shoes, arms ams, feet fee, animals+sounds (favorites include the fish and the owl), car ca, sky ky, circles circas, yogurt yoget, cheese chee, green beans geen beans, outside ousi, water wata, milk mek, pancakes ancake, banana nana).

And nodding his head yes when he actually means yes, and shaking his head no when he actually means no...could this mean we've bypassed that ever fun stage of no meaning yes, and no meaning well, no?  I say no!  (Which really means yes!).
