So, I signed up for Apartment Therapy's The January Cure, where they send you an email a day with an assignment. You choose your focus, but it helps bust out the projects. For us, for me, this house is overflowing with projects! But the main reason I signed up was so I could get organized.
If you're a super organized person with matching & labeled bins everywhere, I'm jealous of you. I am definitely one of those people with closets stuffed, and a cazillion junk drawers/clutter piles. I'm clean, but messy--I think. In truth, organization just overwhelms me...baffles me, really. When I was little, I remember just staring into my desk drawers thinking, "How?" How can everything have a place??
But, I do appreciate it.
And I do crave it.
OK, so today's assignment is to pick one project on the master list to complete in the month. So specifically, my project is to clean out/organize my hallway built-in cabinets and hall coat closet and kids closets. And my goal is to not just shift stuff from one area to another. To be choosy about what we really need and want and what needs to be accessible. I'd like an organized medicine closet. I'd like organized craft supplies...for me and Jude. I'd like have one place for common tools we end up using around the house. I'm looking at you, screwdrivers! And I'd like to spend like ZERO dollars doing it.
Here goes:

Hall Coat Closet
Medicine Cabinet
Craft Shelves
Tool Drawer
Baby at my feet.
So, here's to the January cure!
Your closets look like mine. Perhaps I need to join in this January Cure thing. :)
