Trrrrrick or Treatttttt

Halloween 2013:  I stressed and hmmmed and hawwwwed over Jude's costume.  When months in advance he said he'd like to be Captain America, I was like: perfect, we have that costume, just need a few finishing touches.  But, then I was like, he doesn't even really care about super heros, and I realllly like homemade costumes.  But, then I was all, wait--I don't even have time to make a costume.  So then, I searched for easy homemade costume ideas, then I bought him a hulk costume, then I took it back, then I said we were going to paint his hair black and his face green and he could wear his hulk jammies.  But, then my mom was like:  OK, that looks like he's just wearing jammies.

Guess what Jude ended up being for Halloween??

A very HAPPY Captain America.  And I made him some felt boot covers and was a very HAPPY girl.

Jude had a preschool Halloween performance that we all went to.  It was pretty dang long to sit through with Leland, but also pretty cute.  Jude was off in space most of the time, singing here and there for the songs.  Cruz was eyes-on-the-teacher, shout-out-loud the whole time.  The complete opposite-ness of those two is amazing.

On actual Halloween, things were low-key.  Dave and I chose to stay in the 'hood and see what it was like.  So, we invited the fam over for chili, and then took Jude out and about.  He was hilarious.  He yelled trick-or-treatttttttttt at the top of his lungs.  One guy said, "oh, you can take a couple." So Jude dropped what he had and then grabbed candy with BOTH of his hands.  It was so innocent, but Gigi and Scott and I laughed and then Jude got a little embarrassed.  And at one house he just decided to skip the doorbell and walk right in.  Also, really funny.

Leland was a wittle ducky, and just so adorable.  People LOVED this costume, and easy to see why.  The little tuft of fuzz out the bum is my favorite.  He went around to see the neighbors, and then stayed in with Dave.

Good times, and pretty good weather, and holidays here we come!
