Guys, it takes me way longer than a week to get over the holidays. Honestly, who can even think of making life changes when J Crew's clearance rack is 40% off the lowest marked price, and your new pair of oxfords don't fit because your feet have grown (grrrrr..size 11?!?!). See. Now do you sympathize with my late resolutions? I knew you would. Legit.
Anyway without further delay, here are my 5 resolutions I'd like to make in 2011.
*BE HEALTHY*
I decided it's wrong when you still consider yourself an athlete even though your last workout consisted of walking your dog around the park.
Work-outs 3x/week and yoga 1x/week.
Plan & cook 3 dinners each week.
*BE GREEN*
Take reusable bags to grocery store.
Use tupperware instead of ziplocks.
And, ummm, cloth diapers.
*BE FRIENDLY*
Plan get-togethers with friends and follow through.
Answer phone & return calls in a timely manner. Sorry to all.
*BE LOVEY*
Date night once per month. Really shooting for the stars on this one--no joke!
*BE HAPPY*
Focus on the here & now, and as Oprah would say Live my best life. I've been working on this one for awhile now. I'm a planner--so it's easy for my thoughts to bounce around to where we'll be next year (work less??), or 5 years (Crockett outta school, bigger house??) or 10 years (ummm, almost 40??). But when I stay centered, I see how truly happy I am with what I already have. Namaste.
