Today you are 2

Today you are two--and strangely, the act of typing that has made me a little teary.  Every time I get nostalgic and sad about how big you have grown and so fast and where does time go?? your dad puts me right in my place--what? you're sad that you have an amazing, adorable, healthy, 2 year old??  And he is right.  And it makes me feel better.

Today 

You wake up and say, "Mommy, Mommy.  Where Mommy?  Go see Mommy?"

Daddy thinks you're a mama's boy (and we do have a lot of silly fun together), but I think you are anyone's boy--you have fun with whoever you are with.

If I'm home and I leave the room, you come a shouting, "Mommy!!!! Wherrrrre. arrrrre. youuu???"

You wake up and ask for milk and a banana. 

You love your milk!

You love to help me around the house.

You want to get in the car seat by yourself.  "My turn, my turn, my turn!" you pout.  Sometimes it takes 5 minutes just to get you buckled in, but you always come out triumphant.

And then you give a big sigh and a big grin.

You want to get dressed yourself.

You want to get your food yourself.

You want to throw garbage away by yourself. 

You want to put your diaper on by yourself.

You want to feed Juno by yourself.

You want to close the door by yourself.

If we'd let you, I think you'd drive the car by yourself.

You think Juno is your horsey.

You watch Daddy leave for work out the window and shout, "..a good day! hab a good day!'

You drive your toy cars up walls and across the floors.

You love trains, planes, firetrucks, campers, tractors.

You run up to us and say, "Roar!"

You say, "Come pay with me, Mommy."

You are a cautious learner. 

You still love your nakey time.

You say, "I lub you so much!" in the cutest, fastest way.

You ask to hold Daddy's and my hand on walks.

You give anyone a kiss good-bye--muwahhhh!

You show-off.

You nap from about 1-3:30.  You sleep from 8-8.

You love to read How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight.  And I like to read this one too!

You like Tiggy and Owly to go to bed with you.  Then you curl up on your side and say good night.

Sometimes you sing and play yourself to sleep.

You sing to yourself a lot, actually.

Your favorite food is peanut butter.  If I ask you what you want for dinner, it's always "peamut butta"

You are an excellent listener (for a 2 year old).

You have a crazy toddler mullet that we sorta love.  

You do all this, and so much more.  Dad's favorite thing to tell people about having kids is that it just keeps getting better and better--and it does.  You are so you.  Calm, mellow, content, interactive.  A deep thinker, a silly squealer, a show-off and a complete sweet-heart.
