What I'll remember from this shoot is that I. was. so. tired. And I wasn't a good subject. Some pictures I left out because you can just see the droopiness in my eyes...pleading to the camera to please find me a pillow.
Rach and I rallied after a long work week to go get some pictures of Slade (and his lonnnnng hair) and then me at 29 weeks while we were at it. Poor Rachel. Photographing two grumpy, stubborn, "middle" children.
Next time, I prommmise to be more cooperative.
So yeah, this is me and the peanut a few weeks ago. 29 weeks, and just beginning the home stretch of the 3rd trimester!
Some things to remember:
HOT. HOT.
SUMMER.
I come home from work, throw on Dave's stretchy b-ball shorts, take off my bra and then plop myself in front of a fan.
It's real attractive.
That being said, being pregnant through the summer is HOT, but I love the light, summery clothes.
Dresses, shorts, tanks, flips.
Milk Duds.
Love this random, waxy, chewy candy.
And my candy true loves, black licorice and cinnamon, have taken a real back seat.
But, that's OK. Because there will always be chocolate.
Other cravings?
Yogurt parfaits. Get these almost on the daily at work.
Iced Tea, Iced Water, Iced Diet Soda. ANYTHING iced.
Right around this time, Dave and I got to go in and see the baby for a second ultrasound. I was sure I was gonna cave and ask to see the gender, but once again, it was surprisingly easy. Of course, since then I have wondered several times whether I'm packing around a boy or girl...
Overall, feeling pretty dang good at this point. Starting to do the ol' heave-ho to get of the couch, but otherwise A-OK.
Sleeping well, except for my late, late, late nights thinking, planning, and browsing the internet for home inspiration ideas.
BECAUSE
During this time, we managed to sell our wittle-bitty house, and put in an offer on another!
Very excited (cuz it's our's), stressed (cuz moving blows), and relieved (cuz we're done looking) all at the same time.
And grateful. So grateful.
Our new house is a total fixer upper, and we plan to do some surrrrious remodeling before this child comes along. Hence the stress, and hence the excitement. I feel like a legit grown-up picking out tile and cabinets (and the ultimate grown-up activity: working out a budget, of course. wink, wink).
hehe! that was a fun night...NOT! but thanks for willing to never be grumpy pants again.
ReplyDeletei love this post. so well written and such fun little details to remember. 29 weeks looks good on ya sis!
can't.wait.to.meet.BABYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!
Yay for...all of it! so much new stuff going on for you :) And, btw... you look like you are only 20 weeks! So gorgeous. baby will be here so soon!
ReplyDeletejust beautiful
ReplyDeleteFun. The plusses and minuses of a "depressed" house--you get to (have to) change things that you wouldn't if the house were perfect. On the other hand, you sort of have you make yourself spend money and while there's no shortage of work in a normal house, there's *really* no shortage of work in a depressed one. Our house was repo'd twice before we got it. Needless to say, four years later, there are still things we'd like to fix! You'll have to post pics on here. What was the followup ultrasound for? Just getting more images? I hope so. I'm the queen of ultrasounds, and boy, do I hate them. You, however, look beautiful as always. Honestly, you should send one of Rachel's photos to Pregnancy mag or something for their cover. But then I'd read it and be grumpy that you look so good. So maybe not.
ReplyDeleteWhoa, evidently David's logged in right now. Well, it's Erin who posted that, not David!
